Fishing

The game set includes 4 fishing rods, 4 stands to place “catch” and 12 fish. Fishing rods, stands and fish are painted in blue, red, yellow and green. Size: the length of each fishing rod is 35 cm, the length of the cord (elastic) fishing line is 30 cm, the width (height) of each fish is 4.5 cm, and the length is 10 cm. The diameter of the stand is 5.5 cm, the length of the pin in the stand for placing caught fish is 5.5 cm, the diameter of both the rod and the stand pin is 8 mm each.
The game promotes the development of fine and large motor skills, speech, memory, attention, imagination, coordination of movements, eye and children perseverance, train them to count and follow game rules.
Activities on the basis of the game make it possible to form ideas about quantity, develop counting skills (1, 2, 3, etc. to 12; learn ordinal numbers: first, second, third, tenth, … last), specify the perception of colors and intensify the color vocabulary (red, blue, green, yellow). It will help to enrich children’s speech with spatial concepts such as “top, bottom, side, left, right, opposite, in the middle”, stimulate cognitive interest, broaden children’s horizons and shape ideas about what devices and tools a person needs for different types of activities (in this case, for fishing); teach kids the rules of joint games and develop social intelligence.
